Funerals

Funerals at St. Charles

In times of sorrow and loss, St. Charles is honored to help family and friends celebrate the life and salvation of loved ones. Funerals may be scheduled at St. Charles in two ways. The first is through and with cooperation with the family’s chosen funeral home service, in which case the funeral home would be chosen by the family and directed to St. Charles Parish as planning is underway.

The second way is to contact St. Charles first and begin planning the Mass using the St. Charles Funeral Planning PDF to help choose the music repertoire and other aspects of the mass. As funeral preparations begin, contact the Parish Office at 262-367-0800 for more information.

Bereavement Ministry

The Bereavement Ministry is responsible for providing services for and working in conjunction with funerals at St. Charles. The Bereavement Ministry helps congregants in a time of loss by providing hospitality and comfort to bereaved families. After the funeral, members of the the ministry follow up with families and provide grief services. If you are interested in becoming involved in the Bereavement Ministry or wish for more information, please contact the Parish Office at 262-367-0800 or by email at parish@stcharleshartland.org.

It offers a prayerful, practical, and personal approach for anyone who is mourning the loss of a loved one. If you have lost a spouse, a child (including pregnancy loss), a grandchild, a parent, another family member or a friend, you are invited to attend.
